Who we are

This site is run by Digital Alchemy FZ-LLC, registered at FDRK2645, Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, Al Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (RAKEZ licence 47027031). What we collect

When you use our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, organisation if you give one, what your enquiry is about and your message. If you email us, we receive whatever you include in the email. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this site.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and to deal with any media or partnership request you make. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give when you tick the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us. We will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Our games

The Friendship Census is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

The census. We store your answers with your country, age band and gender. We never ask for your name or anyone else’s. To stop cheating we keep a scrambled version of your internet address for 30 days, then remove it. If you choose to leave your email, it is kept in a separate list with your result and is never joined to your answers. We use it only to send what you asked for and, if you ticked that box, news and offers from our partners. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

The quiz. The true or false quiz runs in your browser, and your answers are not sent to us. It is open to everyone.

We run the census on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the campaign, and we send emails only with your consent. To keep out bots, the census may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser without setting advertising cookies.

Who sees it

Your enquiry is seen by our team. If it is about media coverage or a partnership, we may share it with Relations Group Ltd, the UK PR agency that delivers our media work, so they can respond. Our website host (Hostinger), our network and security provider (Cloudflare) and our email provider process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal information.

Where it is stored

Your information may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United Arab Emirates. Where it leaves the UK, we take steps to keep it protected to the same standard.

How long we keep it

Enquiries sent through our form are deleted automatically 12 months after they arrive. Emails are kept only as long as we need them to deal with your request.

Cookies

This site does not set tracking cookies. WordPress sets essential cookies only if you log in to manage the site.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email adam.cox+partnerships@digitalalchemy.app and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commission.
